All smiles: an Alabama football player smiles, as Crimson reports positive well results

US minnow Crimson Exploration on Wednesday detailed initial production rates for a pair of wells in the Eagle Ford shale play, drawing a positive response from investors.



Crimson’s Littlepage McBride 3H well in Karnes County, Texas, came on with a gross production rate 1034 barrels of oil equivalent per day on a 14/64-inch choke and 3057 pounds per square inch of pressure. That included 965 barrels per day of oil.

The well was drilled to a total measured depth of 16,613 feet, including a 5918-foot lateral, with a 15-stage hydraulic fracture, Crimson said in a statement.
