Plexus wins Santos order

Step ahead: The company is pleased to have secured its secfond contract in Australasian waters.

UK-listed Plexus Holdings has secured an order for its surface and platform friction-grip wellhead technology from Australian company Santos.

The £800,000 ($1.3 million) order will see Plexus provide wellhead equipment, a mudline casing support system and services for oil and gas exploration activities at a Santos-operated exploration well off the coast of Western Australia.

Plexus said the company would start earning from the contract, which was the company’s second to take place in the Australasian region, in August 2012.

Plexus chief executive Ben Van Bilderbeek said the company felt its previous work completed for Apache had helped it gain access to a second customer in Australia.
