LNG Ltd lease deadline extended

More time: LNG Ltd has an additional six months to meet the conditions required for a lease to be granted over the site of its proposed LNG project

Australia’s Liquefied Natural Gas Ltd (LNG Ltd) has been given more time to meet conditions for a lease to be granted over the site of its proposed Fisherman’s Landing LNG project near Gladstone, Queensland.





LNG Ltd said the agreement for lease between its wholly-owned subsidiary Gladstone LNG and Gladstone Ports had been extended six months, until 30 June 2012.

The agreement sets out a number of conditions for the project which need to be met by the new deadline, including the procurement of gas supply for the project.

The company will then have a further six months to satisfy any remaining conditions related to gaining the necessary approvals to recommence construction of the LNG project.

Once LNG Ltd satisfies the conditions of the agreement it will be granted…
