Eagle Ford: Acreage changes hands

Lucas Energy has picked up about 5500 net acres of Texas property from Hall Phoenix Energy in a $6.4 million stock deal, the company said today.

The purchase includes rights to leases poised to exploit the Eagle Ford, Eaglebine and Austin Chalk formations in Wilson, Leon and Madison counties.

That brings the company’s total net acreage holdings to 8900.
