San Leon attracts bids for Albania stake

Irish explorer San Leon Energy has gotten a share price boost after revealing it has received a number of unsoliticited bids from international players to farm into its offshore Albanian Durresi Licence.

The junior player said in a statement on Tuesday it had “recently signed confidentiality agreements with several large E&P companies regarding farming into the license; and continues to receive unsolicited interest from other large E&P companies”.

As a result San Leon has opened a data room early for the licence which has already been visited by a number of companies.

Shares in San Leon Energy were up by 7% to £0.11 on London’s Alternative Investments Market.
