Anadarko to sell Indonesian assets

Sale: Anadarko will be working on the marketing of its Indonesian assets over the coming months.

Anadarko Petroleum has put its Indonesian oil and gas assets up for sale which is predominantly deep-water exploration acreage off East Kalimantan.

The company said recently it had "begun marketing our Indonesian assets" and would be working on that over the coming months.

Chief executive James Hackett said it was too soon to put an estimated value on the assets.

"As we move into data room process, we'll start to get some greater clarity as to how the market sees the value of the asset."
