Stepping down: Shell's executive director for Upstream international, Malcolm Brinded

Shell’s executive director for Upstream international, Malcolm Brinded, will step down from the position later this year, the Anglo-Dutch supermajor announced on Wednesday.

Shell released a statement saying Brinded had agreed to stepdown with effect from 1 April but added he would stay on with the company until 30 April to assist with the transition of his responsibilities.

Brinded began career at Shell in 1974 and has held positions in Brunei, the Netherlands, Oman and the UK, including managing director of Shell UK Exploration and Production.

“Malcolm Brinded has had a most distinguished career over many years and has made an important contribution to Shell’s success during that time,” Shell chief executive Peter Voser said.
