Gas tally rises at Thai Binh

Petronas Carigali has flowed a further 24.4 million cubic feet of gas per day from the Thai Binh-1X exploration well, in the Song Hong basin, off Vietnam.

An earlier test over two lower sand intervals flowed 23 MMcfd, with about 69 barrels of condensate per day.

Petronas plans to plug and abandon the well as planned once operations are completed.

It will then carry out technical works to evaluate the discovery in Block 102.

Partners in blocks 102 and 106 are Petronas, PetroVietnam Investment and Development Company, SPC and ATI Petroleum.
