Australia's Origin Energy-operated BassGas project has recommenced production after a major planned maintenance programme.

Production is initially from the Yolla-4 well and ramping up from 50 terajoules per day, BassGas project partner, AWE said.



The Yolla-3 well will also be brought back on stream after some wireline operations.



BassGas was shut-in since 22 November 2009 for planned maintenance at the onshore gas plant, the offshore production platform and producing wells.



Origin Energy operates BassGas with a 42.5% stake. Partners are AWE (42.5%) and CalEnergy Gas (15%).
