Malaysia: Rumania will fabricate wellhead support structures for the offshore West Desaru oilfield

Malaysian offshore fabricator Ramunia Holdings has been awarded a contract by UK-based Aquaterra Energy for the manufacture of wellhead support structures for the West Desaru project, off Peninsular Malaysia.

Ramunia will fabricate two subsea structures, one topside structure and a boat landing facility for the Petrofac-operated oilfield under the 23.6 million ringgit ($7.8 million) contract.

Ramunia said the target load out date of the works was 31 July, adding it expected the contract to contribute positively to its earnings for the current financial year.
