Bankers tastes dust in Albania

Duster: Bankers has come up dry in the Ardenica exploration well

Canadian player Bankers Petroleum has come up dry in the Ardenica exploration well on Block ‘F’, onshore Albania.

The well was drilled to total depth of 2030 metres and penetrated several thick porous sands, however Bankers said it did not encounter any hydrocarbon shows that merited testing.

As a result the decision was made to case and suspend the well.

Bankers said it would now study the well and existing seismic data to further evaluate and upgrade several other prospects mapped on the 185,000 acre block.
