Busy out West: Ocean Rig's Eirik Raude working for Anadarko off Ivory Coast

Anadarko Petroleum has found only oil shows at two wells at off pair of near neighbours in West Africa.

The NYSE-listed independent encountered oil shows in its primary target after intersecting sandstone at the Kosrou-1 exploration well off Ivory Coast.

Ocean Rig’s semi-submersible Eirik Raude drilled the well on Block CI-105 to a final depth of 5241 metres in water depths of 2275 metres.

“It intersected 90 metres of reservoir quality sandstones with oil shows in the primary target and over 120 metres in total in the well,” block partner Tullow said on Thursday.
