Stuart finds oil shows at Dunoon-2

By Upstream staff

Australia’s Stuart Petroleum has found signs of oil at its Dunoon-2 exploration well in the South Australian sector of the Cooper-Eromanga basin.

The company is getting ready to run wireline logs and may carry out drill stem tests on the shows.

Dunoon-2 was drilled to test the oil trend confirmed by recent discoveries at Revenue, Rimfire as well as Might & Power. It also acts as a follow-up to the original discovery at Harpoono.

It targets up to 720,000 barrels of oil in-place in the Murta formation and the McKinlay Member.

Partners in PEL 113 are Stuart (66.7%) and Beach Petroleum (33.3%).
