Stuart running Dunoon test

By Upstream staff

Australia’s Stuart Petroleum is getting ready to run a second drill stem test at its Dunoon-2 exploration well in the South Australian sector of the Cooper-Eromanga basin.

The first test over a 12-metre interval in the Murta formation failed due to mechanical failure of the test tools.

Dunoon-2 targets up to 720,000 barrels of oil in-place in the Murta formation and the McKinlay Member.

Partners in PEL 113 are Stuart (66.7%) and Beach Petroleum (33.3%).
