Total hands Aker subsea role at Dalia

Reason to celebrate: Aker has been a subsea contract off Angola worth Nkr407 million

French giant Total has awarded Norway’s Aker Solutions a contract to deliver seven subsea tree systems to its Dalia field, off Angloa.

Under the Nkr407 million ($70.9 million) contract Aker will provide seven subsea trees, seven wellhead systems and seven well jumper systems, and could include further contract options.

"Our first subsea tree award was signed for Dalia in 2003 and we have successfully delivered 71 subsea tree systems to this field,” executive vice president of Aker Solutions' subsea business area, Alan Brunnen, said.

“We are very pleased to continue this positive relationship with Total E&P Angola and look forward to executing this project."
