Canadian oil outfit Gran Tierra Energy has completed drilling its Puesto Climaco-2 sidetrack in the Vinalar Block, Argentina, and has started logging operations.
The company said that results will be evaluated in the coming week. It added that production facilities at the Puesto Climaco have being completed and will be able to handle additional production form the sidetrack if it is successful.
Meanwhile, the company has mobilised a workover rig to the Ipaguazu field to re-complete the IPX-1 well and re-establish production from the field.
Gran Tierra has also mobilised three rigs to drill the Laura-1, Caneyes-1 and Juanambu-1 prospects in the Talora, Rio Magdalena and Guayuyaco blocks in Colombia.
Laura-1 and Caneyes-1, which are located in the Middle Magdalena basin, will spud in late December and early January 2007 respectively while the Juanambu-1 well in the Putumayo basin will spud on 15 January.
