Sembawang Shipyard: the Sembcorp subsidiary has been awarded S$130 million in new work

Sembcorp subsidiary Sembawang Shipyard has been awarded three contracts worth a combined S$130 million (US$102.7 million).

The first contract was awarded by Angola’s Sonangol Pesquisa e Producao for the repair and upgrading of the Palanca floating, storage and offloading unit.

The work scope of the contract will include the renewal of the vessel’s cargo piping system and pumps, tank blasting and coating, and cables renewal for the entire electrical system.

Sembawang will also re-design and re-build the existing accommodation block on the vessel so it can accommodate 60 people, double its current 30 person capacity.
