announcement
to
the
Australian
Securities
Exchange,
New
Standard
said
it
expected
the
rig
would
spud
the
first
well
in
a
drilling
programme
over
EP456
by
mid-July,
in
line
with
earlier
predictions.
The
rig
was
capable
of
drilling
to
a
total
depth
of
about
4300
metres,
New
Standard
said,
with
the
Nicolay
1
well
expected
to
reach
a
total
depth
of
3200
metres.
ConocoPhillips
and
New
Standard
had
agreed
on
locations
for
the
drilling
of
three
wells,
the
other
two
being
the
Gibb
Maitland
-1
and
Blatchford
-1
wells,
earlier
this
