US supermajor pens multi-million contract covering two deep-water projects

Services player Expro has bagged a subsea contract with Chevron in the Gulf of Mexico but is remaining mum on much of the detail of the deal.

The UK-headquartered outfit is to provide a pair of auxiliary strings with direct hydraulic umbilicals and reelers for tubing hanger operations for the US supermajor, it said.

The subsea services contract covers two deep-water projects but Expro declined to identify which Chevron projects these are.

The company also shied away from revealing the contract value but pointed out that it never issues statements on contracts worth under $1 million.
