Brisbane-based Senex Energy has resumed oil production from its fields in Australia’s onshore Cooper basin after they were shut in earlier this month due to unseasonal wet weather.

Senex said it had recommenced restricted production from most of its operations in the basin, including the Growler and Snatcher oilfields, after several key roads were re-opened at the start of the week.

The company shut in the fields at the start of the month after “unseasonal rain events” forced the closure of roads which were used to deliver crude from Senex’s Cooper operations to Moomba.
