Kodiak to hunt funds with IPO

Denver minnow Kodiak Oil & Gas said today it would seek to raise $41 million through an initial public offering.

Kodiak said it would offer 10.5 million shares at $4.15 each at a 4% discount to Friday's closing share price, the Associated Press reported.

The deal includes a1.6 million share overallotment allocation.

The company said the funds raised in the IPO would be used in its 2007 capital budget.

KeyBanc Capital Markets will act as lead manager on the offering.
