Australia's Otto Energy said today it plans to drill the Koyustu-1 gas exploration well in the Edirne licence, Turkey, to total depth before running wireline logs.
Work will get under way within the next two days.
The logs will evaluate intervals that are potentially gas-bearing and will allow the company to decided on whether to test the zones.
Koyustu-1, which lies in the Thrace basin, is currently at a depth of a 561 metres and will be drilled to a total depth of 600 metres.
