By Upstream staff

Calgary-based Gran Tierra Energy has appointed Martin Eden as the company's chief financial officer.

The appointment came into effect yesterday.

Eden replaces James Hart, who also resigned as the company vice president finance. Hart will continue to serve the company in a business development position.

Eden has over 26 years experience in accounting and finance in the energy industry in Canada and overseas and was most recently the chief financial office of the Artumas Group and served in the same role at Chariot Energy prior to that.
