Caspian Services ties up survey ships deal

By Upstream staff

Kazakhstan oilfield services player Caspian Services said it had won a contract to provide three survey vessels to Norway-based Reservoir Exploration Technology (RXT).

RXT recently agreed to shoot a four-component 3D seismic programme on the Caspian Sea's Kashagan field for Agip's Kazakh unit.

Caspian said it would add two shallow-draft vessels to its fleet to fulfill the contract. The vessels would be sourced from Dutch company Rederij Waterweg under an existing partnership between the companies.
