High seas delay Aminex Tanzania 2D

London-quoted junior puts off rest of survey until later in year but talking of more seismic work

Monsoon season has put a halt on Aminex’s seismic plans off Tanzania as the independent pushes the remainder of its survey on one area back towards the end of the year.

The London-listed junior is, however, also locked in discussions about starting a new round of conventional 2D seismic on the deep-water section of the Nyuni Area.

Aminex was almost half way through completing 2D seismic over a 335-kilometre section of the area’s transition zone using ocean bottom cable technology when it called a halt.
