KCA Deutag set for Ivory Coast

KCA Deutag has lined up a possible 16-well programme for one of its tender barges off West Africa beginning later this year.

The oilfield services group has also won a contract from a Russian company for well construction and drilling services in Western Siberia.

CNR International has inked a deal with KCA to use its self-erecting tender barge Glen Esk on a firm eight-well drilling programme off Ivory Coast.

There is also the option to drill a further eight wells, with all 16 in CNR’s Espoir Phase III.

The Glen Esk will soon mobile from Singapore and is expected to commence operations in October.
