Lamprell wins jack-up order

One more: Lamprell to build jack-up like Seajacks Kraken for UK owner

Lamprell has scooped an order for over $120 million for a jack-up vessel from UK owner Seajacks.

The builder’s Hamriyah yard in UAE will construct the 7000-tonne unit - to be named Seajacks Hydra - for delivery in 2014.

The total contract price for the Gusto MSC NG 2500X design self-elevating and self-propelled unit is $120.9 million, Lamprell said on Tuesday.

This is the fourth such jack-up that Lamprell will have built for Seajacks, following on from the Seajacks Leviathan, Seajacks Kraken and Seajacks Zaratan.
