Protest trial: Trio found guilty on all charges

Three environmental activists who took part in a November 2011 protest at a Cuadrilla Resources rig in northwest England have been found guilty of all charges.

The three defendants in the case are members of anti-hydraulic fracturing group Frack Off.

Two of them were charged with aggravated trespass, assaulting a security guard and obstructing a person engaged in a lawful activity.

The third was charged with trespass and obstruction.

The judge hearing the case at Peston Magistrates Court is due to pass sentence later on Tuesday.

Work at Cuadrilla Resources' Banks rig site was halted for a day on 2 November 2011 over the demonstration, in which some of those present scaled the rig to unfurl a banner.
