Wood Group names new CEO in reshuffle

New chief executive: Bob Keiller to head Wood Group PSN

Wood Group production services chief Bob Keiller has been promoted to chief executive in a reshuffle at the top prompted by company stalwart Sir Ian Wood’s retirement.

Aberdeen native Wood, whose grandfather William Wood founded the company in 1912, is stepping down after 20 years as chairman and having been chief executive from 1967 to 2006.

Current chief executive Allister Langlands, who has led the company since 2007, will take over as chairman in the switch, effective 1 November.

Wood said he had been lucky to see Wood Group “become a successful global player” in the course of a 45-year career at the company.
