PTTEP gets Cash-Maple boost

Good news: Thai company PTTEP has flowed gas and condensate from the Maple-2 appraisal well

PTT Exploration & Production (PTTEP) has drilled a successful well to boost the reserves size of its Cash-Maple gas project in the Timor Sea.

The Thai company said the Maple-2 appraisal well flowed at a rate of 30 million cubic feet of gas per day and 696 barrels per day of condensate during testing.

It reached total depth of 4150 metres on 1 July 2012.

"The well results enhance our knowledge of the resource and deliverability of the Cash-Maple field and are significant information to further justify the project’s economic viability," said PTTEP chief executive Tevin Vongvanich.
