Body found in missing UK oil executive search

Missing: former oil executive Carole Waugh

A body has been found in the hunt for a female British former oil executive who vanished over three months ago and whose bank accounts and personnel possessions have been raided.

Police have not yet identified the body, discovered in a London suburb on Thursday night, as that of Carole Waugh, who has reportedly worked for a least one Libyan oil firm.

The hunt for the 50-year-old took a further twist with reports that police are investigating the theory that she may have worked as an escort.

Waugh, a former Veba Oil executive, has reportedly not been heard of since mid April after which her accounts were raided by, in some cases, people who have been impersonating her.
