McDermott wins spar deal

McDermott International has scooped a contract from Williams Partners to install a spar hull in the US Gulf of Mexico.

The services player will transport and install the Gulfstar FPS GS-1 spar and moorings on Mississippi Canyon, it said on Monday.

No contract value was given but McDermott said it has already been added to the company’s second-quarter balance sheet.

The spar will sit in approximately 4200 feet of water about 150 miles offshore.
