Transerv confidence in Montney assets boosted

Encouraged: the Montney oil trend in British Columbia, Canada, with recent drilling results

The value potential of Australia-listed Transerv Energy’s landholdings in Canada has been bumped up following successful oil flows in adjacent acreage.

The company’s 55%-owned subsidiary Carnaby Energy holds more than 80 square kilometres of land across the Montney tight oil play in British Columbia.

Independent assessments have estimated a resource potential of more than 750 million barrels of oil-in-place on the acreage, with potential recoverable reserves of 50 million to 75 million barrels net to the Transerv Group.
