BP in LPG disposal

BP has sold its UK liquefied petroleum gas distribution business to support services outfit DCC for $63 million.

The disposal of the subsidiary that employs 116 people and supplies LPG to industrial and domestic customers follows BP’s decision earlier this year to sell its LPG bottles and tank-filling business.

BP said it would retain its automotive LPG business, which will be absorbed into its UK Fuels Value Chain that runs the UK supermajor’s fuels business including service stations.
