Caza spuds Bone Spring well

Spudded: Caza Oil & Gas has started drilling on its Copperline prospect in New Mexico's Bone Spring play

US-focused Caza Oil & Gas has started drilling on its Copperline prospect within the Bone Spring play in Lea County, New Mexico.

As the initial test well at Copperline, the Caza Ridge 14 State 3H horizontal well will be drilled to a vertical depth of about 3505 metres with a total measured depth of about 4795 metres.

The well is primarily targeting the third Bone Spring sand at about 3449 metres below the surface.

Potential secondary targets include the Delaware, Lower Brushy Canyon, Avalon shale, and first and second Bone Spring sands.
