Jubilant cheers Kharsang flows

Jubilant Energy is targeting further oil as it began producing from a well on a play in India.

The company began flowing oil at an initial gross rate of 226 barrels per day from the KSG 64 well on the Kharsang field in Arunachal Pradesh.

Shares in London-listed Jubilant shot up nearly 7% before the opening of trading on Monday morning.

The well, which was spudded on 31 May, is the seventh and last to be drilled in phase-III development of the field.

Jubilant’s primary target when drilling to a total depth of 1557 metres was the S-00 sands with secondary objectives of the M-00 and T-00 sands.
