HRT hits gas in Brazil

Brazil’s HRT has revealed another gas discovery in the Solimoes basin after drilling a well in record time for the independent.

HRT has hit around 30 metres of net gas pay in three gas-bearing reservoirs at the 1-HRT-9-AM well, it said on Monday.

The company boasted that the well showed “the best permo-porosity characteristics and net pay” in its drilling portfolio.

“Well 1-HRT-9-AM once more confirms the gas trend extension to the south-west, thus opening a new exploratory potential in the area of block SOL-T-191,” it said.
