Endeavour: the jack-up rig arrives in Alaska’s Cook Inlet aboard the Kang Sheng Kou vessel

The arrival of Kenai Offshore Venture’s jack-up rig Endeavour in Alaska has signalled the near start of Buccaneer Energy’s Cook Inlet drilling activities.

The rig arrived in the port of Homer, in Alaska’s southern Cook Inlet, on Friday aboard the Kang Shenf Kou heavy lift vessel.

Australia-listed Buccaneer said the Endeavour was undergoing some final work and regulatory inspections in the port, then it would be towed to its first drilling location at the company’s North West Cook Inlet project.

The rig will then undergo final preparation to start drilling operations.

Buccaneer’s North West Cook Inlet project has been estimated to contain proven plus probable reserves of 45.9 million barrels of oil equivalent.
