North Sea job: Subsea 7 nets Varg work from John Manzoni-led Talisman

Talisman Energy has handed Subsea 7 and lucrative contract to develop the gas export pipeline for the Varg field off Norway.

The Canadian independent has inked a deal with the services giant worth $60 million to build and install the 6 kilometre flowline and flexible riser system for the field west of Stavanger.

The engineering, procurement, installation and construction deal will also involve the installation of associated subsea structures, protection systems and tie-ins.

Engineering and project management will begin next summer from Subsea 7’s Stavanger office.
