Farstad takes delivery of Prelude PSV

Farstad Shipping has taken delivery of one of its three platform supply vessels that will support Shell's Prelude drilling campaign off Western Australia.

The Norwegian vessel owner said the PSV Far Skimmer had been delivered from STX OSV Vung Tau in Vietnam.

Upon arrival in Australia, the vessel will begin a long-term commitment to Shell's Prelude development drilling programme.

Two more Farstad vessels - the Far Spirit and the Far Sitella - are also contracted to the Prelude project on durations that vary between 1.5 years and 2.5 years with options for extensions.
