Gulfport toasts record production
Oklahoma-based Gulfport Energy said it had produced a record 996,000 barrels of oil equivalent in 2006, up 62% over the 613,000 boe it produced in 2005.
Gulfport said its 2007 production guidance remained unchanged in a range of 1.7 million to 1.9 million boe. The company said it would spend between $60 million and $65 million on capital expenditure.
Gulfport has interests on Louisiana's Gulf Coast, in Alberta, Canada, and in Thailand.
