Patterson in management shuffle

Patterson UTI: Driller switching management roles

Patterson UTI said Friday the company would promote its chief operating officer Andy Hendricks to replace retiring chief executive Douglas Wall.

Wall's retirement from the onshore driller will take effect 30 September, the company said in a statement.

"I would like to thank him for not only his service to the Company, but also for his efforts to ensure a smooth management transition," Board Chair Mark Seigel said.

"I am encouraged by the skills and talents that Andy has brought to our management team, and I remain confident that the Company is in good hands."

Seigel also said Michael Conlon had been appointed to the company's board.
