Asco makes Canadian splash

UK services player Asco Group has added to its stable of Canadian operations with the purchase of a trio of companies.

The Aberdeen-headquartered outfit has not disclosed how much it is paying for the three Alberta-based players, although all existing staff will be kept on.

Asco is getting its hands on drilling logistics and infield services duo EJR Trucking and Docktor Oilfield Transportation Corp as well as oilfield waste management company Manatokan Oilfield Logistics.

With the swoop, Asco is doubling its footprint in Canada from 130 employees to 260. It currently has operations in Bonnyville, Halifax and St John’s.
