Prosafe bags second flotel option

Norwegian accommodation services contractor Prosafe has secured a further one-month contract extension from BP for its Safe Scandinavia unit off Norway.

The semi-submersible flotel will now remain at the Valhall field until 31 December after the British operator exercised the second of two options, with the latest one generating income of around $9.3 million for the contractor.
