Titan to kick off Texas drill campaign

Texas: a re-completion drilling programme at Titan Energy's Allen Dome North oil project is due to start on Friday

Australian junior Titan Energy will launch a workover campaign “within days” on existing wells, as well as planning a five-well exploration programme, on the Allen Dome oilfield in Texas.

After taking over as operator of the Allen Dome North project last month, the company revealed its plan for a re-completion programme in a move to ramp up production from the moderate average level of 12 barrels of oil per day.

Titan targeting output increases of at least 30 bpd from each well, based on pre-drill studies.

It reported to the Australian Securities Exchange that a rig was due to re-enter the currently shut-in Reese-5 well this Friday. The well is planned to be re-evaluated in a shallower zone.
