Plexus bags Lotos order

UK-listed engineering company Plexus Holdings has won a £1 million (US$1.6 million) contract to supply its proprietary POS-GRIP wellhead equipment to Lotos Exploration & Production Norge, a Norwegian subsidiary of Polish explorer Grupa Lotos.

Lotos will use Plexus’ high pressure/high temperature (HP/HT) 18-3/4-inch wellhead equipment and casing support equipment for an exploration drilling programme on the Skagen well in the southern North Sea.

The contract is for a two-year period, with an option for one additional year. Revenues are due to begin next month.

This deal follows the company’s announcement on Monday that it was awarded a similar contract for two Talisman Energy-operated wells in the Norwegian North Sea.
