Racking up: Petroceltic plans to drill 10 wells over the next 12 months

Dublin-based Petroceltic International is planning on drilling 10 wells over the next 12 months in North Africa, the Mediterranean and Black Sea regions.

In an operations update release on Tuesday, Petroceltic announced it planned to drill six high impact exploration wells in Egypt, the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, the Black Sea and Italy.

It is also planning two shallow wells in Egypt’s Nile Delta, as well as two wells in Bulgaria within the next year.

Drilling of the first well of the campaign, Mesaha-1, has already commenced in southern Egypt on the 43,000 square kilometre Mesaha concession.
