Cormorant
East
discovery
last
month
when
the
211/21-N94
well
intersected
oil-bearing
sandstones
in
the
Tarbert
formation
of
the
Jurassic
Brent
group
within
the
then
named
Contender
prospect.
The
approved
field
development
plan
will
see
the
field
be
initially
produced
under
primary
depletion,
with
the
potential
to
install
a
water
injection
scheme
at
a
later
date.
Field
partner
Antrim
Energy
said
completion
and
tie-in
of
the
Contender
well
was
underway,
with
first
oil
expected
before
the
end
of
the
year.

the
field
will
be
processed
at
the
North
Cormorant
