Receiving business: EMGS gains extended charter for Atlantic Guardian

Electromagnetic Geoservices (EMGS) has seen its Altantic Guardian rehired for an extra six months after completing a basalt mapping project in the Norwegian Sea.

The Norway-based geophysical services provider said the vessel charter had been extended for a firm six months with two extra three-month options and a flexible starting date.

The Atlantic Guardian has just finished gathering controlled-source electromagnetic (CSEM) and magnetotelluric (MT) data in Norway’s Voring basin, in a multi-client contract that was extended from a similar survey in the west of Shetlands area in October.
