The
five-year
frame
agreement
is
to
provide
subsea
umbilicals
and
cables
to
the
Anglo-Dutch
supermajor
for
projects
worldwide.
Both
shallow
water
and
deep
water
projects
will
be
covered
by
the
agreement
which
also
has
a
five-year
optional
extension
period.
Aker
said
the
deal
could
produce
between
$200
million
and
$400
million
in
revenues.
Equipment
will
be
built
at
both
Aker’s
Moss
facility
in
Norway
and
its
Mobile
facility
in
Alabama.
Shell’s
subsea
projects
are
primarily
based
on
the
Norwegian
continental
shelf,
the
UK,
Gulf
of
Mexico,
Brazil
and
West
Africa.
